Actually, that makes sense...most of the fiscal conservative Republicans (like myself) that I know from Canada live in the U.S. now. The conversation always starts with "...I USED TO live in Canada (eyeroll)..."!

I've watched Gene Simmons family show, the show with his family. Anyway, I never would have watched it but I was too lazy to change it one day. Surprising how interesting it actually was. I watched several of them in a row, it was on as a marathon that night. I was surprised that he actually had a personality, I had only seen him on a talk show once where he sounded like a dirty old sex pervert.

Anyway, he would be a very great judge for American Idol. He would give those kids some straight talk about business and their prospects. I gave up watching American Idol when they cancelled Canadian Idol. I don't know why except that I just preferred the show that was closer to home.

Beautiful article, Nava. I couldn't have said it better. Yet, I still had to laugh because I recall the day you called me regarding your rage over that song and I didn't feel exactly the same as you did because, as a long-time country music fan, I understood where Toby Keith was coming from and what he meant with that song. He was speaking from a place of anger and hurt, but not politics. I, myself, have a hard time remembering those 9/11 events, and I am glad that the misguided war started in the name of those victims is coming to an end.

First of all, I love the word "twit." It doesn't get used nearly often enough. Second, I am fairly certain that a crunchy granola-eating, image-obsessed physician (note the highlights in the hair of a 50- YEAR-OLD MAN) would not be in the physical state that would lead me to believe he died of a sudden coronary. No, I think I might have to subscribe to the general consensus on this one. Due to his hubris in assuming the Twitter public was hanging on his every word, he needed to tweet so badly that he drove himself and his poor dog over a cliff. Sad, but just punishment for the ruin that is Heidi Montag. I am just glad the dog survived.
